companies are getting a little tired of working from home, if a survey of 2,300 CRE decision makers across 25 markets is anything to go by.<\/p>\n<p>More than 60% of respondents expect to see increased workplace utilization over the next five years.<\/p>\n<p>In 2022, 77% of decision-makers thought hybrid work was the way to attract talent. In Q4 2024, the momentum has &#8220;moved strongly towards office-based work&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>44% of organizations were characterized as \u2018Office advocates\u2019 who would like to see staff in the office five days a week.<\/p>\n<p>The 56% of \u2018Hybrid adopters\u2019 were operating in a range from &#8220;fully remote&#8221; to at least three days a week in the office.<\/p>\n<p>For real world examples,\u00a0<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Roblox CEO David Baszucki last year <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2023\/10\/17\/23921001\/roblox-employees-return-to-office-metaverse-isnt-good-enough\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">mandated a return to the office,<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> articulating that even the most advanced virtual environments cannot replicate the &#8220;engaging, collaborative, and productive&#8221; dynamics of a physical workspace.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Dropbox CEO Drew Houston also challenged the swing back to the office by <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/remote-work-return-to-office-dropbox-ceo-90-10-rule-2023-10\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">adopting a 90\/10 remote work rule<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, supporting &#8216;trust over surveillance&#8217;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Corporate America is struggling with a tug-of-war between freedom and in-person collaboration.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">As tension between businesses and employees continues worldwide, we asked a team of experts to make their future of remote work predictions for 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"do_business_goals_and_employee_well-being_co-exist\">Do Business Goals and Employee Well-Being Co-exist?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Shifting from an in-office workplace to one fully remote is a significant challenge. But going back would likely be equally or perhaps more challenging. Melissa Jones, chief human resources officer at CSAA Insurance Group, explained how they immediately considered the business advantages of the new remote model.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;Our employees did not miss a beat due to remote work \u2013 in fact, our business results were some of our strongest in the company&#8217;s history.
