They work by using a set of general primitives in order to perform the analysis on a real-time basis.\n<\/p>\n<p>There are various data analytics platforms available in the market today. Here are a few of them:\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hadoop: This is the well-known big data open-source tool which is licensed under the Apache v2 license. Hadoop is highly scalable and reliable, and works on the computational model MapReduce.<\/li>\n<li>Storm: Storm is owned by Twitter and works almost the same way as Hadoop does. <\/li>\n<li>Spark: This is an open-source data analytics platform developed in AMPLab.
