It breaks down a large endeavor such as an enterprise level system development that might span multiple features and teams. This effectively breaks up a large task into smaller pieces that can be tackled by different teams in parallel, making development faster. In Microsoft&#8217;s .Net environment and Visual Studio, this is done via assemblies and namespaces.<\/p>\n<p>One good example of the application of partitioning code is the model-view-controller (MVC) architecture. In MVC, code is divided into the model or database, the view or user interface, and the controller, which can be considered as the business logic in the application. Although the three components are part of the same project, they are separate from each other; hence they can be developed separately and in parallel without truly affecting the others. The only thing to worry about is the interface between the three modules, which must be synchronized across the development teams to ensure proper communication.
