They are coded in a .aspx file and expose properties, methods and events of the control that can be accessed from server-side code.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"techopedia_explains_aspnet_server_control\">Techopedia Explains ASP.NET Server Control<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>ASP.NET is a Web application framework used to develop dynamic websites and Web applications. An ASP.NET server control is a specific control class of the .NET framework, which is embedded in ASP.NET pages. It represents a user interface (UI) element on a page, such as a text box or command button. <\/p>\n<p>  Server controls in the ASP.NET page framework are designed to provide a structured programming model for Web-based applications. Unlike the code in ASP (an earlier version of ASP.NET), these controls allow for the separation of execution code from the HTML.
