It functions independently, bundled and\/or when interacting with various J2EE components written in the Java language and executed like any other Java program. Combining respective classes and files facilitates communication between J2EE components in the same J2EE application.<\/p>\n<p>Client tier components, such as application clients and applets, run on a client machine. Web and business tier components, such as Java servlets and Java server pages (JSP), run on a J2EE server.
