OnePlus fans might be in for an earlier-than-expected treat. According to a recent leak, the OnePlus Watch 3 could be launching alongside the company’s upcoming OnePlus 13 and 13R smartphones – and the release date might be closer than we originally thought.

This information comes courtesy of leaker Yogesh Brar, who dropped the news on X, hinting that the OnePlus Watch 3 could arrive “soon.” Now, we all know how vague that term can be in the tech world, but it’s piqued our interest.

Perhaps we can get some idea about the date from the launch of the OnePlus 13 series, which is expected to arrive in early 2025.

If the rumors hold true, this would mark the fourth OnePlus Watch model to hit the market this year alone. So far this year, the company has already released three different variants, though two of them were essentially tweaked versions of the OnePlus Watch 2 launched back in February.

Still, if the OnePlus Watch 3 manages to build upon the strengths of its predecessor, it could be well worth the investment.

The OnePlus Watch 2 offered multiple standout features that weren’t available in most of its competitors. The main draw was its clever hybrid software, which combines Wear OS and an RTOS (Real-Time Operating System). The unique approach finally ‘fixes’ the age-old smartwatch issue of abysmal battery life.

Even in regular “Smart Mode” with the always-on display enabled, users have reported a respectable 3+ days of usage – a remarkable feat for a Wear OS device.
