Intel’s next generation of Arc-branded discrete GPUs, codenamed Battlemage, could launch as early as next week.?
Intel’s first set of GPUs based on the Xe2-HPG microarchitecture will be the Arc B580 and Arc B570, which are expected to launch December 3. Alongside these cards made with partners, Intel is also likely to unveil a reference design, Videocardz reported.?
Following their launch next week, the two models will be available for sale starting December 12. The Intel Arc B580 was prematurely listed last week, suggesting the latest rumors about the launch’s timeline are, in fact, true.?
The Intel Arc B580 and Arc B570 “Battlemage” GPUs are slated to be mid-range discrete GPUs. Following these two, Intel could announce plans about its low-end and high-range GPUs in the series. The latter category includes previously rumored models with 32 and 28 Xe2 cores.?
Based on the accidental Amazon listing from earlier this week, the Arc B580 is expected to feature 20 cores with clock speeds up to 2.8GHz. The specific model is likely to receive a total memory of 12GB and a bus width of 192 bits. Meanwhile, the B570 model is expected to pack 18 cores, though it did not appear in the listings.?
The leaked renders of Zotac cards based on Arc B580, if true, also point to PCI Gen 5.0 connectivity with 8-pin connectors. These cards were spotted in two and three fan configurations.?
In addition to specifications, the Intel Arch B580 has previously been rumored to launch at an MSRP of $250. Though impressive for sure, these could be placeholder prices to be taken with a grain of salt.?
