Google has launched the Pixel Watch 3, which includes a long-requested larger model and better fitness tracking.
The 45mm case looks better on larger wrists and packs a larger display. Whether you buy that or the 41mm model (up from 40mm before), you can expect thinner screen bezels. The display is more visible outdoors, too, thanks to a 2,000-nit peak brightness.
The new Pixel Watch 3 comes in two sizes (41 and 45mm) and has the deepest integration with Google and Pixel yet. Control your Google TV, live stream your Nest Camera, and get real time run guidance right from your wrist. #MadeByGoogle pic.twitter.com/LvU3xJdFoe

Pixel Watch 3: Key Features
Battery life is still estimated to be 24 hours with the always-on display active, but there’s a new 36-hour Battery Saver mode. The 41mm timepiece also charges 20% faster than its predecessor.
Google’s official take on Wear OS 5 will also bring offline Google Maps and the option to watch your Nest security camera’s live feed.
Some things haven’t changed, including the Snapdragon W5 processing from the Pixel Watch 2.
New Health Features for Runners and More
Exercise, given the Fitbit integration, unsurprisingly gets an upgrade. You should get a Morning Brief that summarizes your health data (including sleep) and more advanced running data like ground contact time and stride length.
The Pixel Watch 3 enhances your running experience with features that help plan, guide, and analyze your workouts. The new Workout Builder allows runners to customize training sessions by setting distance, time, pace, or heart rate zone goals and manage interval runs.
The watch acts as a running companion, providing real-time haptic and audio feedback on your progress, such as when to start intervals or if you’re off pace. It utilizes machine learning for improved heart rate accuracy.
After workouts, advanced motion sensing offers insights into running form, including cadence, stride, and ground contact time, helping track improvements through the Fitbit app. With six months of Fitbit Premium included, users receive AI-driven daily run recommendations and access to Peloton classes, offering personalized training guidance.
Pixel Watch 3 Helps You Detect Loss of Pulse
The Pixel Watch 3 debuts a feature called Loss of Pulse Detection, designed to identify incidents where the heart ceases to beat unexpectedly.
This is a critical health emergency where every second counts. Such events can impact individuals of any age. They may arise from various issues related to or beyond the heart, including primary cardiac arrest, respiratory or circulatory failure, overdose, or poisoning. Tragically, many of these incidents occur when a person is alone, drastically reducing their chances of obtaining emergency help.
The Loss of Pulse Detection feature can automatically contact emergency services, delivering an automated message with vital information and your location. This feature will be available in several European countries on the Pixel Watch 3 in September. Efforts are ongoing to collaborate with regulatory agencies to expand this feature’s availability to additional regions.
Pixel Watch 3: Price
Google is taking Pixel Watch 3 orders today. A 41mm Wi-Fi model starts at $349, and the 45mm watch adds a $50 premium.
