Honkai: Star Rail 3.0 New Characters
Honkai: Star Rail’s new characters will join the roster during the 3.0 update. These characters include 5-star playable characters Aglaea and The Herta.
The Herta
The Herta is member #83 of the Genius Society in Honkai: Star Rail. She is best known for her collaborative efforts alongside Ruan Mei, Stephen Lloyd, and Screwllum in the creation of the Simulated Universe.
She is a 5-star rarity ice character and an emanator of The Erudition Path. Her greatest strength lies in applying Interpretation stacks in order to increase her area of effect (AOE) damage.
- Basic Attack: Wake Me Up –? Attack a single enemy with Ice damage equal to 50% of Attack.
- Skill: Big Brain Energy – Deal with ice damage equal to 35% of an attack on an enemy and apply a stack of interpretation. Deal additional Ice damage to that enemy and nearby targets two more times.
- Enhanced Skill: Hear Me Out – Use Inspiration to temporarily power up Big Brain Energy to 40% damage. Finally, all enemies take 20% of Attack as Ice damage.
- Ultimate: Told Ya! Magic Happens – Herta redistributes all Interpretation stacks, prioritizing strong enemies (Elite or above). She then deals 100% of her Attack as Ice damage to all enemies. Her Attack increases by 40% for three turns, and she immediately takes action after using her Ultimate, gaining one stack of Inspiration (maximum two).
- Talent (Passive): Hand Them Over – When enemies join the battle, Herta applies one stack of Interpretation to each. Interpretation can stack up to 42 times. If her Enhanced Skill’s primary target has stacks, it increases her damage based on the number of stacks: 4% per stack for the primary target and 2% for others. If her team has two or more Erudition Path characters, these bonuses double.
Aglaea
Aglaea is one of the new Honkai: Star Rail pulls to pursue in version 3.0. She is the Goldweaver, a revered hero of Amphoreus who holds the divine authority over “Romance”. As the Okhema dressmaker, she helped recruit new Chrysos heirs to take on the world-saving journey after the Flame-Chase Journey was previously interrupted.
She is the first 5-star lightning character assigned to the brand new path called The Remembrance. Characters assigned with Remembrance use summons called Memosprites. Aglaea’s gameplay style incorporates this, summoning Garmentmakers to aid her in battle.
- Basic Attack: Thorned Nectar – Deal lightning damage equal to 50% of Attack to one enemy.
- Enhanced Basic Attack (Pet): Slash by a Thousandfold Kiss – Aglaea and her summoned memosprite, Garmentmaker, attack together. Both deal lightning damage equal to 100% of the Attack to the main target and 40% of the Attack to nearby enemies.
- Skill: Rise, Exalted Renown – Heal Garmentmaker for 25% of its max HP. If Garmentmaker is off the field, it is summoned into battle.
- Enhanced Skill (Pet): Thorned Snare – Deal lightning damage equal to 55% of Attack to one enemy and 33% of the Attack to nearby enemies.
- Ultimate: Dance, Destined Weaverness – Aglaea summons Garmentmaker or fully heals it if it’s already on the field. Aglaea enters Supreme Stance, takes an extra turn, and gains Speed boosts based on Garmentmaker‘s Speed stacks (10% per stack). While in play, Garmentmaker is immune to Crowd Control effects. A countdown appears, and Garmentmaker self-destructs when the timer runs out, ending Aglaea’s Supreme Stance.
- Talent (Passive): Rosy-Fingered – Garmentmaker‘s Speed starts at 35% of Aglaea’s Speed, and its max HP is 44% of hers, plus 180. While Garmentmaker is on the field, Aglaea’s attacks apply Seam Stitch to the target. Enemies in the Seam Stitch state take extra damage equal to 12% of Aglaea’s Attack after being hit.
Trailblazer (Ice)
The Trailblazer is a 5-star ice character of The Remembrance Path. These two protagonists can summon Mem, a new adorable companion that can assist you in combat.
- Basic Attack: Leave It to Me! – Deal Ice Damage equal to 50% of their Attack to a single enemy.
- Skill: I Choose You! – Summon the memosprite, Mem. If Mem is already on the field, it heals Mem for 30% of its max HP and gives it 10% Charge.
- Enhanced Skill 1 (Pet): Lemme! Help You! – Boosts one ally’s action, letting them act immediately, and gives them Mem’s Support for three turns. While supported, their attacks also deal True Damage equal to 18% of the original damage.
- Enhanced Skill 2 (Pet): Baddies! Trouble! – Mem attacks randomly four times, dealing Ice Damage equal to 18% of its Attack with each hit. Then, Mem deals Ice Damage equal to 45% of its Attack to all enemies.
- Ultimate: Together, Mem! – The Trailblazer summons Mem, gives it 40% Charge, and has Mem deal Ice Damage equal to 120% of its Attack to all enemies.
- Talent (Passive): Almighty Companion – Mem starts with a Speed of 130 and a max HP equal to 50% of the Trailblazer’s max HP plus 400. For every 10 Energy regenerated by the team, Mem gains 1% Charge.

Honkai: Star Rail 3.0 Story
Honkai: Star Rail’s story starts a new chapter in Amphoreus and, with it, a series of new quests to pursue. Heroic Saga of Flame-Chase is set to release on January 14, 2025, for version 3.0. Unlike the previous stories, The Amphoreus storyline will be told across 3.0 to 3.7 – making it the longest storyline in the game’s history so far.
Honkai: Star Rail 3.0 Map
The Honkai: Star Rail map coming with 3.0 will include six explorable locations that will become available once the update goes live on January 14, 2025.
The Six Maps Explore Different Parts of Amphoreus
- Okhema – Described as humanity’s final sanctuary.
- Janusopolis
- Grove of Epiphany
- Castrum Kremnos – The “Capital of Might,” where the Strife-Titan is located.
- Styxias
- Aidonia – A distant location with an unknown purpose.
Details surrounding how these locales will serve the story and main gameplay are uncertain. But information has been shared about what we can expect from some of the locations that will launch in 3.0
Okhema is a city built alongside a towering mountainside and will serve as the main hub for Trailblazers to gather for expeditions in Amphoreus. A landmark of interest is the Mamoreal Palace, described as a grand bath and a social area for the city’s residents.
Another area of importance outside of Okhema is Castrum Kremnos, characterized by the Blade of Fury that hangs above it. This area is where the Titan of Strife remains and a likely location for Chrysos’ heirs to embark on their quest for Coreflames. Players will be able to travel through time to the distant past to see the city in its golden age.
The final map worth noting is the starting point of Honkai: Star Rail’s next update that begins the player’s journey into Amphoreus — The Vortex of Genesis. This is the area players will return to once they have claimed a Coreflame from a Titan.
The Bottom Line
Honkai: Star Rail news is flooding in with the 3.0 update just around the corner, kicking off the new year with an abundance of content. Players can jump into the action as soon as January 14, 2025, and will run up until February 25, 2025.
Aglaea and The Herta are new 5-star characters, alongside a new Remembrance path for the Trailblazer. The new world Amphoreus promises several new locations to explore as players hunt face-off against Titans.
