Track changes is mostly a default feature within most modern word processing applications that enables recording changes to an original piece of document.
Typically, track changes keeps records of all the character and object insertions and deletions, text movement, table insertion and deletion and other document formatting processes. The changes are usually reflected by striking the deleted text, changing font color of new text and table/cells highlighting. It also manages records of different authors that collaborate and work on the same document.
