What Does DB-50 Mean?
A DB-50 is a small computer system interface (SCSI) application connector with 50 pins arranged in three rows. One row sits above another, as follows:
- Top row: 17 pins
- Middle row: 16 pins
- Lower row: 17 pins

DB-50 connectors were used for older SCSI devices such as Sun, Hewlett-Packard and Data General computers. The DB-50 connector is rarely used today, with the exception of older Sun SPARC stations.
