A page view (PV) is a Web analytics term that refers to each time a Web page is successfully loaded onto a user’s Web browser. Every time a Web page is viewed in a browser, the site’s analytical software will increase the total page view count by one.

Although the two are often confused, a page view is recorded differently than a hit.
