Led by Ola founder Bhavish Aggarwal, Krutrim is India’s first unicorn AI startup, valued at $1 billion on just Rs. 422 crores ($50 million) raised.

Launched in December 2023 in Bengaluru, it wants to build India’s first comprehensive AI computing stack, including large language models (LLMs) and advanced AI technologies tailored for multilingual applications.

The company also plans to develop its own chips, data centers, and a conversational AI assistant. Krutrim is Aggarwal’s third venture. 9. Kellton
