In this Artsmart AI review, we’ll use our extensive knowledge of the best AI tools on the market to examine Artsmart AI’s features, pricing, pros, and cons.
We conducted user testing of Artsmart AI and compared it against some of its top competitors to help you choose a tool that best suits your needs.
What is Artsmart AI Used for?
Artsmart is an AI tool that generates artwork based on text or image prompts in a variety of styles, including photorealism. It can also be used to:
- edit and improve existing images, including increasing the resolution, perfecting poses and facial expressions, or retouching.
- help content creators who want to add supplementary images to their written or video content.
- aid game designers who want to add graphics to their games.
- help designers and project planners who wish to experiment with mock-ups of rough ideas before creating their own pieces.
Artsmart AI Pricing
Artsmart offers three paid plans: Basic, Standard, and Business. While there isn’t a free plan, it does have a 30-day money-back guarantee if you are not happy with the service. Below, we’ll unpack each plan’s features in more detail.
Starting Price (billed annually) | Credits/month | Generation Modes | Prompt Styles | Text to Image | Image Upscaler | Background Remover | Multiple Image Generation | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Basic | $16/month | 1,000 | 5 | 5 | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ |
Standard | $24.50/month | 2,500 | 5 | 5 | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ |
Business | $32.50/month | 6,000 | 5 | 5 | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ |
Artsmart AI Key Features
ArtSmart’s text-to-image feature is fundamental to its functionality, serving as the core tool for creating captivating artwork. Using artificial intelligence, it translates users’ prompts into images guided by their preferences. It can also generate images based on image prompts, not just text.
ArtSmart has five distinct “generation modes” or styles: standard, semi-realistic, realistic, hyper-realistic, and photo-realistic. It also allows you to get inspiration from other users’ work and copy prompts, plus further finetune your results with camera angles and artists’ styles.
This versatility allows users to choose the level of realism and artistic interpretation they want for their generated images, which helps cater to a wide range of preferences and applications. That being said, it does not have as many options as its competitor Getimg.ai, which also allows you to work with different AI models.
Tunes are Artsmart AI’s AI avatars, such as we’ve seen offered by Picsart and Synthesia. Users can create their own Tune (or avatar) by uploading 20 photos of themselves, training the AI to understand their likeness. Once trained, users can generate images of themselves in different styles, eras, costumes, and settings.
Ever fancied seeing yourself in a Sci-Fi film or in the 1980s? Just create a detailed enough prompt explaining what kind of image, setting, or character you’d like to embody and Artsmart will create it.
Artsmart can also enhance existing photographs by increasing their resolution, adjusting their size, or correcting blurriness. The Upscale feature allows you to choose the upscale ratio, which determines the final result.
The effectiveness of the tool largely depends on the original image’s resolution and the intricacy of your request. It’s worth noting that in some cases, the enhanced images can appear AI-generated.
When we tested the tool on images of people, the results did not always capture a lifelike realism. Overall, while it can significantly boost image quality, the output might not perfectly mimic natural human attributes in some cases.
Artsmart’s Pose Control is a sub-feature within its Playground image generator, allowing users to change the poses of figures in their artwork. This can come in handy, especially for those who want to create graphics for video games or illustrations for audiobooks or graphic novels.
The feature offers two different modes: PosePerfect and PoseCopycat. PosePerfect grants users the ability to fine-tune the positioning of characters in their images, offering precise control over the portrayal of each figure.
PoseCopycat replicates the pose from a reference image, seamlessly incorporating it into the user’s new artwork. This blend of customization and automation makes Pose Control a powerful tool in the creative process.
Artsmart AI Performance
When competing against the top AI art generators, we think Artsmart AI stands out for its user-friendly interface.
By offering five generation modes, it streamlines the art creation process, making it straightforward to achieve the desired outcomes. This accessibility positions it as an ideal choice for beginners venturing into AI art creation without the need for a background in graphic design or illustration.
When I generated my artwork, the diversity of image styles was sufficient enough for me to achieve usable results in just one try. This is nice as I didn’t have to use multiple credits. The processing speed was impressively quick, contributing to an overall user experience that was seamless and intuitive.
Compared to Getimg.ai, I found it more user-friendly, primarily because the tools are more automated, which simplifies the process but also means it caters more to beginners by offering less manual control. However, if you have more experience with photo editing or AI art generation, it may feel too elementary.
I can see Artsmart AI becoming a valuable asset for content writers looking to quickly generate unique artwork to help boost their search engine optimization (SEO) ranking. Similarly, graphic novelists, anime creators, and game designers will find Artsmart AI to be a powerful tool for rapidly conceptualizing ideas or modifying existing works.
Artsmart AI Integrations
Artsmart AI does not offer many third-party integrations, but it does offer Application Programming Interface (API) access to developers who want to incorporate AI-generated images into their projects, apps, and websites without needing to build these functionalities from scratch. This streamlines development efforts and expands the possibilities for creative applications and workflows.
Artsmart AI does not seem to currently offer other third-party integrations, like Canva and Picsart, which can integrate with social media apps and ecommerce platforms to provide a more seamless image editing experience.

Now that we’ve got an idea of what Artsmart AI offers, let’s compare it with some of its top competitors: Picsart, Getimg.ai, Looka AI, and Jasper AI.

Artsmart AI vs Picsart
Picsart is promoted as an AI-powered image editor and an AI art generator. Its free plan grants users access to a range of video and photo editing tools, alongside a selection of free images and templates.
In contrast, Artsmart AI lacks a free tier, eliminating the possibility for users to test the service prior to making a purchase. However, it compensates by providing a money-back guarantee.
In our full Picsart review, we noted how it an extensive suite of photo editing capabilities, but Artsmart distinguishes itself as a dedicated AI art generator, specializing in converting text to image prompts.
Depending on your key objective, we’d recommend Picsart for those wanting to retouch existing images and Artsmart for those wanting to create images with an AI image generator.
Artsmart AI vs Getimg.ai
When compared with Artsmart AI, Getimg.ai’s user interface is slightly more complicated but it offers an expansive selection of over 60 AI models, including Stable Diffusion and its derivatives like OpenJourney.
This diversity allows users to tailor the art style to their preferences. Users can also train custom AI models, offering a personalized experience. Additionally, the platform provides features such as prompt-based editing and DreamBooth, enabling personalized model training with your own photographs.
Although the free tier offers a modest cap of 100 images per month, upgrading to a $12 monthly subscription significantly enhances the experience by granting access to 3,000 images, image upscaling features, and premium imaging models.
This pricing structure positions Getimg.ai as a more cost-effective solution than Artsmart, which charges $16 a month for 1,000 credits, thereby offering more value for creative professionals and hobbyists.
Artsmart AI vs Jasper AI
Jasper AI is renowned for being a versatile AI co-pilot. It is mainly recognized for its writing assistance capabilities. In addition to creating textual content, Jasper can also generate art from user prompts, delivering high-quality, royalty-free images.
The initial distinctions between Jasper AI and Artsmart revolve around their trial and pricing models. Jasper AI offers users a 7-day free trial to explore its features before committing financially.
Artsmart skips the free trial but offers a 30-day money-back guarantee for users who might not find the service in line with their expectations.
While Artsmart AI operates on a credit system, restricting the number of generations to the credits available, our Jasper AI review its unlimited generations. However, it’s worth noting that Jasper AI’s subscription is approximately twice as expensive as Artsmart’s.
A significant differentiator is Jasper AI’s suite of writing tools, making it a better platform for users who need assistance with writing and visual content creation. For those primarily in search of an art generation tool, Artsmart presents a budget-friendly choice.
Artsmart AI Customer Reviews
On independent customer review sites, Artsmart AI has an overall score of 3.7/5 on Trustpilot.
Many reviews praised its ease of use and suitability for beginners, and the level of detail and complexity the AI understands from its prompts.
Ai art is fast becoming a part of every small business arsenal. However, not every application has a fun, accessible and easy-to-use UI. ArtSmart does! Great pics, great customer service, great product.
Reviewers were also pleased with how easily they could create images for blog posts and were happy that the images were rights-free so they can be used in place of stock images for added originality.
We did notice more than one Artsmart AI review noted that the cost was higher than they’d like to pay but felt they got their money’s worth from the AI image generator.

How to Choose the Best AI Tool
With so many options available, searching for the right AI tool can be difficult. These are some of the factors that you should take into account before signing up to a paid plan:
Consider whether the tool meets your specific needs and objectives. Are you looking to create a voiceover for ads, educational content, or YouTube? Check the features on offer against your intended purpose.
Not all AI tools produce high-quality content as some can be unreliable. Secure a free trial or demo and read reviews to understand how other users feel about the tool’s performance.
Look for customization and integration options because tools that work alongside your existing software can save you time. If you have coding experience, check for API access so that you can use the output on your own apps or websites.
If an AI tool isn’t user-friendly, it’s going to be tough to maximize its potential. If there’s a free trial or plan, this can be a great chance to test the product before committing to a subscription.
When working with sensitive information, security features are crucial with AI tools. Look out for robust security measures like data encryption, access control, and compliance with standards such as GDPR or HIPAA.
Does the tool offer good value for money or is there a free option available? It’s important to consider if it can grow with your demands over time without becoming too expensive.
Before making your final call, examine the specific features offered by each pricing tier of the platform to ensure it offers the tools you need to achieve your goals.
